Atha Dharma FOIL line work by VulnePro Atha Dharma FOIL line work by VulnePro
Another brand new FOIL design that debuted on the Vulne Pro blog exclusively for about a week. This one, along with the Nal-Farbute, is one of my fav recent FOILs I have designed. Can't wait to do a full color of this beastie :)

This guy is another collaboration, of sorts, between myself and :icongenocidalpenguin: as Karl actually came up with the forward head design (the head apart from the housing cowl. It can pop out and forward). When I sent him an early WIP he asked, "Can I has doodle?" and I was, "Go for it". The result was the head design so I kept it pretty much unchanged.

The rest of the FOIL was my madness, again with the legs owing some cues from Karl's aesthetic sense wed with my own. This one has a lot of hex and perforated textures to imply the new materials common to 5th gen designs. A full color version will show up sometime in the future as I noted in my opening words.

More info about the FOIL's history in the TKP setting is on the original blog posting [link] I'll likely add some of that and new information when a color version drops.

This was a pencil illustration with digital ink clean up finish.

More works to come...

Cheers!

Aye, totally, that's why I felt these newer ones had to be posted with a line art presentation as well. I thought going with a pleasing monochromatic gradiated hue approach would be nice so they all got different hues but similar presentations overall. It's some what my homage to old school mecha resin kit box art with my own sensibilities mixed in.

My thanks man :)

LOL labs came out with the Aiya Gregg for defense support.
The Gregg FOIL was better as a solid support and was less flashy, could say it was more of a straight FOIL in relation to the Dharma FOIL. The Dharma and Gregg combo was pretty effective for several years until the enemy came up with improvements in their attack forces. The Gregg FOIL is still well regarded in the BAU sector.

Looks great.

Great, was not sure you would get the references.
The worst would be to get a "Huh"?

To explain a pun is death, all the fun goes away.
