And we continue our look into new Theos pew, pew, bang, bangs...

Dies is probably one of the most respected weapons manufacturers in SOL so now we get to see some of their rifles and sub machine shettiers. More information about Dies can be found in previous postings.

The Dies SMS 65HV is a sub machine shettier designed to fire high velocity anti classel rounds, so it's more or less an anti combat sendai weapon. Similarly to the Geind SMS 420 the Dies 65HV fires SABOT style rounds, only this weapon uses cased ammo (the casing holding the propellant rather than being the propellant as in Geind's SMS 420)and the ejection port is on the other side of the weapon.

The use of HV Classel piecing rounds became an issue once sendai began using the armor paint for an added layer of protection. The reason Classel is of concern is the paint was designed for FOILs and considering their size in comparison to sendai adding the Classel process to a small sendai made the Classel formidable to crack, even with the standard A.P. shetts (flechette rounds). A.P. shetts were designed to take down sendai so you can see why the Classel armored sendai would pose a problem.

This weapon is property of the Empear Policers of Jaämas 115 E-G bloc (specialized policers beholden to "monied", royal, and high political interests) so it would be carried by Empear riot troopers. The markings on the front of the gun would be color coded to district blocs.

The weapon employs a silencer though HV shettes still are problematic to dampen sound dispersal. The magazine wraps under the forward lower handle/stock assembly. The weapon would be medium range (The SABOT shetts range extends beyond previous munitions) to close combat. The Dies SMS 65HV falls into the early 5th gen period.

Edit 2/25/2012: Kept forgetting to get to this. I did some edits to the sights due to both some posted comments and something nobody actually seemed to notice, the sights on the original were too far back to comfortably work. Moved them forward and added some elevation.

I hate to sound like a CoDfag, but this looks very similar to the KRISS. That being said, I looked at the comments on here, and you're lucky enough to not have been too well aware of that thing's existance. But otherwise, this looks like a pretty solid weapon design for some futuristic tech. I need to work more on original gun design, and knowing how guns work is pretty handy; looks like you've gotten that down!
