Don't make me by VulnePro Don't make me by VulnePro
An image art of a project we had going on last summer that, for the moment, has been shelved due to the flood of other work rolling in. This image is also from the same project [link]

This is a character nameed "Savage Savage"... what part of Savage Savage don't you understand? Tee hee. Clearly there’s a little humor in the title. As can be seen he's sportin' a rather scary ass Colt Python 357 magnum. The image was fun doing all the crazy crap all over the wall. As nuts as that is it's pretty much classic Detroit look though I made up this location as it's a rather simple shot. As a static image the background visual noise gets in the way somewhat but animated the scene would work better as the character would be moving. What can I say, I went bananas with all that stuff LOL I should note that much of the source images for the multiple posters came from old 40s and 50s "Men's" magazines. Those mags are some of the most hilariously silly, and obnoxious, stuff you're ever going to see. I aloso need to note that some of the graff tags, the black sharpie looking ones, were done by :) Credit where credit is due.

As for the character he's a rather loopy hit man based on one of my good friends This pretty much looks like Tim spot on :) This project was to be set in Detroit in 2042 and during the summer we all, Tim included on occasion, did extensive photo shoots of the city for reference. I must admit it was a blast. More work is coming, in fact a pile of Theos Ke Polemos stuff soon.

Cheers!

Photoshop 7.0 and Painter 9.

Hey there, thanks for the comments. Yeah sorry there hasn't been a lot of new stuff, more of the work I did over the summer is under non disclosure agreements. I just posted a batch of work from one of the projects we did, Terran Trade Authority so you can check those out. That said, there is new work on the way ;) Hopefully you'll be seeing it soon. It's nice to know folks are looking forward to anything new, makes the efforts worthwhile as it give us an idea of how it might go over in the marketplace :)

I understand, time is something I think we all wish there was more of, like breaking those laws of physics... bring on the new and improved 72 hour day so long as we don't have to work all those extra hours. Sorry for the delayed reply, been a busy month so far. Hang in there, you'll find the time to get back to drawing if that's what you want to do eventually ;) I'm sure of it. Cheers!

That thing is like a cannon! I can't imagine what the recoil is going to be like!

Great work. I can't wait to see it done!!!

Danke! Yeah it seemed it would be a cool thing to give the character some old school hand cannon action :) This project has been shelved for the moment but expect to see more work for Theos with similar animation image art scenes. Thanks again man :)

Thanks man :) It was an image art piece for a potential animation series pitch we were working on, hence the clean animation look. Expect to see more art like this for various projects, wilder stuff too ;)

Damn, that's one massive gun. (Aye, I know the perspective also messes with it)

Good call though, indeed the weapon is the 8 inch Python in the pic and I drew it from a photo shoot we did with a replica 8 inch 357 Python made by LS (I think they went belly up as a company, you can't get LS model guns anymore so far as I know), the photo had that crazy perspective and I SO wanted it in the image :)

That would look rather striking in backlit monochrome too. You should consider doing one in that format :3
