And another Gavil snubnose

The Gavil HVS 06A is meatier snubnose revolver than the previously posted Z11. This is a weapon favored by private investigations, thus you would find many I.P.I.O.s and C.T.E.O.s carrying this as both a primary and backup weapon.

Being an HVS weapon having a short barrel is less of an issue with accuracy (SABOT rounds more or less) but it's still more of an up close and personal kind of shettier. It packs a punch though and could do a considerable number on most sendai lacking high end armored bodies.

This example has a parkerized color case hardened frame (which accounts for the rainbow marbling) with blue parkerized cylinder and trim. This weapon also has a combat grip but, unlike, the Z11 it is designed for combat situations. The nose on this weapon drops down with the cylinder attached, just pop the release and slop a new one in. Much faster to load than the Z11 was.

The 06a has some design cues that very slightly echo a line of custom revolvers manufactured by Renhold-Wyck (a pending revolver design by :icongenocidalpenguin: ). This is because Renhold-Wyck is comprised of a team of ex-Gavil designers that splintered off to form their own company. Both designs became popular though Renhold-Wyck's designs are more rare simply due to them being custom made by a smaller company. Renhold-Wyck's designs are also more coveted for their rarity.

Pencil thumb converted to digital inks and colors in Photoshop CS3. Color case hardened texture handmade in Photoshop by me.

EDIT: As was noted by the first comment below I had forgotten to change the firing pin from the top to the bottom seeing as this is an under barrel design. I knew I had subconsciously put it in the top position for some time and kept forgetting to move the pesky thing, it's now aligned with the barrel. It's also thinner because of the nature of how these work in TKP, explained below:

With the notion of firing pins brought up I should explain a bit that this isn't using a firing pin in the conventional sense. Many Theos shettier use what's called an electro cap ignition system. The shett's are typically some form of gell encased round usually a SABOT type. The gell is actually the propellant and the firing pin, in this case, is actually puncturing the gell and sending an electric current into it to ignite the propellants. Due to this approach some weapons can even be caseless in nature with the gell itself being a hardened casing that is ignited however many systems do still use casings of some form that need to be ejected (autos).

Have a great weekend folks!
