Here's the first, of several, Theos shettiers I doodled up, early in the week at the laundromat. I should clarify I doodled them as small pencil thumbs at the laundry and decided to do some cleaned up digital ink and color later. There were eight of the weapons on the sheet so rather than post them all as a batch I decided to split them up.

This one's a Geind revolver electro cap ignition style, similar to this sendai custom beast: [link]

Although this model has a hammer style design it still uses the same principle of using flechette (Shett dart or SABOT) shells that have a special resin that the weapon sends a charged jolt into which fires the round. The handle on this one is a material that simulate catalin but is a lot more durable and isn't prone to cracking. Geind's naming conventions for their shettier designs are by model number only. They're well known for revolver designs.

Forgot to note that I started riffing off old west 1800s revolvers, not modern weapons, when I began this batch of thumbs. I more or less deconstructed aspects of those old guns I found interesting and put them in the TKP blender.

Pencil thumb converted to digital inks and colors in Photoshop CS3. Catalin texture was also handmade in CS3 by me.

More to come...

Very interesting revolver, wouldn't mind owning something like that. Just of note, the drum looks a tad on the thin side, and from the notches I can see it only holds four rounds?
About the only negative thing I can say. The small drum and the rather thick barrel/front assembly looks a bit unbalanced, but otherwise it looks like a rather neat and well designed piece.

The drum's on these are swappable for different types of ammo so this one was only supposed to hold five rounds (might have made the notched a bit tight, cest la vie). They sell them in bulk like automatic clips so they're treated in a similar fashion, slop 'em in and out.

The weapon fires flechettes and SABOT rounds, hence the rounds being thinner accounting for a smaller drum. It's not uncommon for revolvers, even today, to have thick barrel assemblies like this one though in the setting (in crazy town future land) materials vary in weight and durability. Being fictional I tend to allow some play with this stuff but usually try to reason out why something will look the way it does.

My thanks! Good observations.

I love your work. I really do. It's clean, imaginative, and incredibly well-thought out. The universe is compelling, the technology, both believable and at least decently original. I'm very excited to see it pan out in the next few years, or however long this project ends up taking.

If it's not a secret and you don't mind my asking, what's the itinerary look like for this whole shebang?

My thanks for the kind words!

This was always intended to be an eventual TV series pitch but the entertainment landscape (which was always pretty crazy) has changed so drastically that a challenging endeavor has gotten even more difficult.

That said, work continues because the setting is so damn fun to play in. The game plan, at the moment, is to continue exploring the TKP setting and sharing those explorations with all of you. Additionally we're working on two sizable Theos projects that, we hope, will satisfy folks interest to see a little more into the TKP world. More on that later ;)
