Indus Bookar Bloc D-781 by VulnePro Indus Bookar Bloc D-781 by VulnePro
A dark hazy industrial passage on the artificial planet Indus in Bloc D-781 of Bookar. This would be one of those places you might not want to be caught alone or unarmed.

Indus is a place in dramatic contrast to Polemos, the planet where FOIL warfare rages on, in that it is an utter architectural tapestry. At times claustrophobic, other times large plains of open space within all the omnipresent architectural landscape. Indus is very old and very few have the slightest idea who made it, when, or why. Often referred to as "The Eye of SOL" Indus is a place of deep, deep mystery and is the seat of power in the SOL system.

Pencil rendered illustration colored in Photoshop CS3 and Painter 9

Just one place of a vast environment where, even still today, many places are unknown to the populace.

More to come...

The more you look at it, the more you discover- I love all the graffiti and dingy textures. :)

You did a fantastic job giving this a "real" feel to it. Can't wait to see more.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the comments. It's that sense of layers of age and "lived in" feel I want to convey. There will certainly be more to come :)

Cheers!

Very impressive, as always. So what is Omnisense? I assume it's some kind of Big Brother-ish organization.

My thanks Mark :)

Omnisense is the SOL wide information and monitoring network. It is on all the planets of the SOL system and is something that anyone wishing to move unseen must find measure to get around it. Similar-ish to the web in some concepts of communications interconnectedness but also quite different in it's execution. But yes the Big Brother analogy is certainly quite applicable.

Very opressive, not a happy place to live. The colouring works really well in the creation of mood, i like the level of detailing too. Nice one!

Your description sounds amazing. Looks good, and I like that graffiti on the walls. (or, is it propaganda? :O )

My thanks, most appreciated ;)

I think we can safely assume a good deal of what is there would be graffiti but indeed propaganda often will mingle with the expanse of thoughts the public will scribble in secrecy on the aging walls of their environment. Information can be as deadly as any bomb or bullet depending on how it's used.

Thank you :)

Aye, a free Polemos on the minds of many who follow the developments of events with apprehension and an air of the unknown future that looms ahead.

Wow, dude, the level of detail and impressive coloration here blow me away. And the lore in your 'artists comments' just pulls it all together. I'm definitely interested in this universe now.

Thank you very much, I appreciate that. If you're finding it of interest indeed as the months progress more and more artwork and information will be posted and more of a picture of this universe will be revealed. That said there will also be many mysteries that will have to await this projects realization as a TV show. Only then will the real secrets be revealed ;)

Cheers!
