This is the first of a pile of Shettiers I will post in the next few days. Initially part of a sheet of them (which will be posted as a wallpaper later), after bumping up the resolution, I decided it would serve them better to post them separately.

This one is probably the most familiar to current handgun styling of the bunch, sorta resembling a mutant Glock although that wasn't the intention. A shettier which is the most common type of small armament in the Theos setting. The term is a mutation of flechette which is what these weapons fire. Standard old school blow back operation. The safety is compressed in the back of the handle similar to the setup in the classic M1911 Colt 45. This was a blown up pencil thumbnail full digital paint conversion. OK, so the man can rock weapons design as well. Naturally. :D I diggit.

Any chance that you'll be developing some bladed or non-combustion weapons? Electro-knuckles or somesuch business? A handy thing to carry in a post-cyborg society. Metal citizens would have a huge impact on anti-cyborg weapons design. (Sounds like something that Shirow would obsess over, thus enhancing the conceptual credibility of his character's arsenal).

Personally, I'm a big sucker for mechs that carry melee weapons. Not that that applies here.

Thank a lot Rob i really appreciate it :) Aye, yes there will be bladed weapons a plenty. There already are some floating around, FOIL swords of course on some of the FOIL designs, and if you look at the scrap sheet of rough thumbs this illo was spawned from there's a pile of knives on the sheet.

As to mechs with melee weapons that's pretty much something common with FOILs and plenty of sendai (the small bio-mechanical race that populate Theos with the humans) use em plenty. More and more glimpses into this setting are coming ;)
