Nal-Farbute FOIL line work by VulnePro Nal-Farbute FOIL line work by VulnePro
The line art for the Oshen-Dies Nal-Farbute FOIL. This was a pencil illustration with digital ink clean up finish. It was originally posted, exclusively, on the Vulne Pro blog for a time.

Cell color version here: [link]

More work pending...

Cheers!

Awesome. I wish I knew how people got such clean line work, digitally.

Thank you :)

Dunno, I just got comfortable with doing the work digitally I guess and patient. It's not that it takes piles of time but does require a good deal of patience and focus.

I try with my pieces (superheroes/mecha) but can never get such a crisp clean line.

The proportions are weird yet highly distinctive. There is almost an insectiod feel to the main body and an decidedly alien feel to the entire ensemble.

I love it, and would definitely love to have a version of this realised in 3d as an action figure.

My thanks, they are supposed to evoke those kind of impressions so it's good to know they succeed in doing so. I plan to get back to working in 3D, at some point, so there will probably be some of that. As to toys, time will tell ;)

Thanks again!

Nice and tight! Is that a rotodome radar on its head?

He there Kevin, my thanks :)

Aye, it's something sorta like that but not precisely. The original cell color posting of this [link] explains it a bit more but the short of it is it performs a function similar to ECM jamming but it's a very Theos specific role.

And, by the way, bleated Happy Birthday!

Hey, thanks for the birthday wishes!

Wow, I passed up the Nal-Farbute system somehow, despite just being posted last year. Nevertheless, I like the implications and how it fuses a bit of Northrop's innovations with your TKP universe.

It's something I'd love to explain more but it, more or less, falls into spoiler territory. We'll simply say that the drastic changes in the nature of FOIL warfare, facilitated by a terrible new threat, precipitates the evolution of the FOILs into the 5th gen design philosophy. The radome and the sensors (those little protruding sensor bars you'll see on the 5th gens or retrofitted on earlier gen FOILs) are in response to something new however it's not really electronic counter measures as much as it's something even greater.

What these jammers are used for is something far trippier than simple electronic jamming ;)
