I had to dig up these next two illustrations in the studio here as they're both traditional media and I misplaced the drawings. They're both early designs for Theos from 2000 at the earliest stages of conceptualizing this stuff. I already posted another [link] of this initial first batch of designs for the mechs, called FOILs, in our animation proposal.
For the Oma-Deos post I knew where that drawing was, these drawings were both hiding on me but I found em, scanned em, and figured I'd post em They are somewhat different from the current designs, of which I have a bunch soon to be posted. These are less organic and sculpted in shape, more straightforward. Neither drawing is perfect but it's kinda nice to have some non digital works to post. Overall I will be redesigning them extensively; still I like the aesthetics they have as they stand here. Unlike the Oma-Deos illo I didn't go in and digitally enhance these two, I just scanned them both as is.
This machine, made by Oshen, is more like the Oma-Deos in body shape and even more air-frame like in appearance. I had an aircraft shape for the torso in mind. As stated many times my main inspiration was WWII aesthetics for paint and markings, clearly the shark teeth from the P40 Flying Tigers. This one I know I’m going to take another stab at for a redesign, no question.

Thanks again It's an older design but I still like it's look overall.
Aye, I am indeed familiar with Gaia Gear's slick and quite cool designs. This wasn't inspired by them buy I also noted it had that vibe after I finished it.
Why thanks man, good to see you drop by, as I said on your gallery I loved what I saw there. Gaia Gear is a good comparison really though those designs were more geometric looking and I guess this thing is a bit more organic looking. Haven't head Gaia Gear in ages, I loved that stuff
