Parliment City

This piece is one of the most detailed works I did for the Hypertide project. I was given a description from Paul that it should be an organic looking bit 'o' architecture so I just ran with that and this is where it led me. I had the notion of a city looking like it was built from volcanic cooled rocks and lit up at night would look almost like it was on fire. Again an illustration I colored in 2000 right when I was just starting to learn how to use Photoshop. My painting style and approach was limited by my limited knowledge of Photoshop at the time. It’s not the nicest or best execution of the colors (again I'd SO do it differently now but one can always say that in retrospect about older works) but the overall effect of the piece came across pretty well.
