I suppose it's not everyone's cup of tea and that's cool but for me this was the stuff that got me into doing art professionally in the first place. I saw the original 1985 airing of Robotech and it got me hooked on animation as a medium. I kinda grew up on the 80s robot stuff so it was fun to revisit this stuff. No not the coolest show, to be sure, but still it has a soft spot in me I guess.

Thanks :)

Your recent pieces, apart from Theos Ke Polemos, bear some semblance to Mecha-Master's (Dave) works, who did all the major mecha designs for MechaWarrior 4: [link] Might want to check him out and perhaps trade ideas.

Just giving some observational insight. Keep it up, Mike! :)

I'm not too familiar with his work so thanks for the heads up, I'll check him out. This stuff all looks this way due to Palladium still essentially being more or less black and white only with most of their printing. I didn't really do anything to the designs as to changing anything either as these are all classic stuff from the 80s, the job was just to do nice model sheet style illos of them :)

Thanks for droppin' in!
