Artist's Comments

The last post for this TTA batch today. In Morrigan's TTA RPG source book [link] this weapon is listed as a 9mm even though I wasn't given a specific caliber note in the description and I clearly labeled the weapon as a 50 cal on the side. The description given was simply Terran guns, bullet based. Being I'm posting this now and Morrigan looks to be giving up the TTA license anyway I get the last word, 50 cal. it is right down to the fictional Addiea Arms logo I gave it. When I designed this weapon I had the Desert Eagle 50 cal. in mind so I envisioned this as a meaty handgun with some power. I also envisioned it to be available as lower power calibers as well. Strangely enough Morrigan had this weapon [link] listed as a 10mm and I had it as a 9mm, I figured it for a more compact weapon. I guess the attached laser sight made it look bigger and meaner. Seeing as how that weapon appears to be a popular DA post I have a feeling this one will be as well. I should have posted it sooner LOL

Very nice, I like the worn effect and shading this piece has. The highly curved grip and more forward set magazine extension alludes to shorter cartridge than a current .50 AE round, Casless or CTA perhaps?

Also not related to this pic but your some of your other works, but thank you on behalf of the Rifts community >.> the game, the art and alot of soda made for some great evenings and weekends back in the day.

A very realistic design--and I especially like the plastic texture on the handle.

Your sig file should never be longer than your posts. ;-)

Thank you for the kind words. Yeah all the weapon designs are somewhat liberal in aesthetics over utter realism in their visual design. The gig wasn't something that required boatloads of time making everything perfect, it was more about making the art look good and getting it done on deadline, which it was ;)

As to Rifts, you're more than welcome. Although I'm not as prolific as someone like :icondirtbomb: has been with artwork done for Palladium I did enjoy what work I did do. I'm glad it helped folks enjoy the game as that is certainly the point of doing the work in the first place :) It looks like I will be doing more in the future too so stay tuned.

Thank you! Yeah, made sense to give it that texture as pretty much a good deal of modern weapons have parkerized finishes.

Well, now that I'm done with the primary contract for that Wii title I was wokring on (though another possible contract might hit me soon) I have some time to get back to this stuff. I plan to do a blitz of posting and almost viral spreading of Theos with the net. See how far I can take it as to an awareness of what it is. You had mentioned folks at Bandai and some of your Japanese mecha illustrator friends have been watching this project... well more is coming, a LOT more ;)
