With Spacecraft 2100 to 2200 AD [link] out now in stores (you should be able to find it at your local Barnes & Noble or Borders providing they did order copies) I have been posting a handful of pieces from the upcoming Terran Trade Authority RPG through Morrigan Press[link] (it’s gonna be 400 pages of goodness so we hope you all look forward to picking a copy up when it comes out) to help spread the word.

A Terran bullpup assault rifle, one of the new 2006 original designs for the TTA re-launch. Morrigan wanted projectile weapons for the Terrans so I kept them pretty classic in look. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. This is one of several TTA weapons I did. Pretty much a rather quick illustration with simple colors because it’s only intended for quarter page print.

Yeah it would be something along those lines. I remember seeing that on a few real weapons but what they were slips my mind at the moment. Overall I just tried to make it interesting looking and, hopefully, believable.

Looks overall successful and believable. :) A gun-nut might recognize however that the slanting of the magazine would suggest it cannot line up with the barrel (tilting too much forward inside) - and that the thickness of the main grip is thin, especially for the index finger/thumb. The trigger finger most likely bends around it awkardly close with difficulty pulling trigger. AAAAND the curvature of the stock would make it potentially very uncomfortable to shoulder. Blä blä!

Aye, indeed it's not what I'd call perfect, all good points. We had a lot of art to do on the job and it was more, as you noted, make it successful and believable overall but not a lot of time was spent on each piece. I figure if it works ok for the quarter page print in an RPG book so players can spark their imagination mission accomplished :) Thanks for the comments though.

cool, it kinda looks like a paintball gun though. although i like the fire selector switch. erginomicaly correct and vaugly like the UZI.

(i say like a paintball gun just by overall size and materials)
