Theos quad tank duo roughs 01 by VulnePro Theos quad tank duo roughs 01 by VulnePro
>>> transmission start

New Theos walkies tanks for the new year. These were rough laundromat, slightly bigger than thumb, sketches, part of a collection of 8. I'll be posting some of them as duos, like these.

Top tank is an older let 3rd to early 4th gen tank. The bottom is clearly 5th gen. The faint rose colored glowing rings, at the bottom of the tanks, are caused by the mysterious anti-gravitic Icar field generators. These devises are widely in use (every FOIL has one) but less understood throughout SOL. The tanks use them as a balancing and weight adjustment device. The device completely works on it's own with zero input from the pilots, adding further to it's mysterious nature. Also of note is the field ring is rather faint in low power use (which it would be with these tanks) so it's not some blazing beacon for enemy weapon targeting.

They will end up getting finished out ink and color versions in the future but for now here are the rough and dirty concepts.

Pencil sketches with a wash of color in CS3.

More works pending. Transmissions to continue >>>

Looking badass!
And it reminds me of the Tachikomas' from Ghost In The Shell :)

My thanks for the kind words :) These are true tanks in the sense of size and purpose so rather different than a Tachikoma. These be FOIL hunters (often used in FOIL combat depending on the rules of engagement at the time. Not always effective of course) and Polemon city state defensive weapons.
