Second pair of walker tanks from the laundromat batch I doodled on Monday. Obviously part of the collection the previously posted walker tanks came from: [link]

Here we have a pair of 5th gen quadwalkers with the bottom being the assault gun type (obviously some touches of German WWII assault guns, such as the Stug, going on. Still very TKP in the sense that the culture mines what fragmented history they have to create the current aesthetics). The rectangular plates on the front of the tanks are reactive armor. As with the previously posted pair the faint glow of the Icar drive field i(explained in more detail in previous post) s visible under the belly as a ring halo.

They will end up getting finished out ink and color versions in the future but for now here are the rough and dirty concepts. Of course the pending ink and full color versions would be quite cleaned up and fixed for errors, etc. These are pretty quick roughs, each tank took approximately 5 to 10 minutes to riff out the light sketch at the laundromat. Ideas tend to come fast when I'm revved up and on a roll. Later, at home, I darkened the sketches and tightened them a dash for scanning.

Pencil sketches with a wash of color in CS3.

More works pending. Transmissions to continue >>>

My thanks :)

Those leg joints would be the weakest points on the tank, structurally speaking. I'm sure you could have an action shot with one having its joints shot out.

There, indeed, will be images of these walker tanks getting pulped at some point in the future.
