Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I've been thinking about giving the DA prints thing a try for awhile now and today seems a good time to kick things off. I know many of you have asked for TKP prints/products before so this is just to test the waters. Suppose this could be considered a TKP Christmas kinda offering delio being so close to X-mas

We're going to start with some mugs. Some of the image art pieces looked like that would make cool coffee mugs (hell I think I'll have to pick up one or two myself) so here's the 4 offered:

I'll be putting up some FOIL prints later tonight or tomorrow as well. I'll update this post when I do. If prints and TKP goodies interest you guys I'll roll out more but for now we'll just have a select few to start out. I know there have been some of you that asked for prints of the Transformers work I did with Dreamwave but I don't own the rights to that stuff Hasbro does so there won't be any TF related prints. I just wanted to make sure anyone that didn't understand how that works knows why I won't be putting any TF prints up. Theos fans will be in luck though, that's 100% Vulne Pro's I.P.

Just be aware that DA takes a massive cut of your profits and won't actually send through the money until you make a certain amount in profit.

Aye, I read the submission agreement so I know how it works and the quarterly payment thing (has to be at least 20.00 profit per quarter). Also, not sure if you're aware of this, because you have the standard membership to DA, but if you have a premium membership you can set your royalty percentage to as high as you want. The down side is too high and the product price goes up but it's nice you do have that added option under premium.

Just giving it a try and see how it goes. I can take the work off the print feature at any time. My thanks for the heads up though man, appreciate it.

Yeah it is a nice feature and too bad it's only a premium thing. What you noted though is still an issue as, like I noted, the higher you raise the percentage the higher the product price goes up and you really don't want to go too far.

Not sure how long I'll have them up really, just wanted to give it a try
