Addendum 4/30/2012: I just posted the second part of the discussion about the evolution of the design of Gumbinnen Sems from the first original sendai concept into his updated 2012 TKP version: www.vulnepro.com/2012/04/evolu…
Last DA journal post was December of last year... we've been busy
I just dropped a rather extensive post on the vulne pro blog about the origin of the very first sendai design, you might find it rather interesting to discover what it is.

Obviously it's been awhile since I last posted a journal here, though I have been posting work since we rolled into 2012. We have some interesting things planned for this year though they require time to suss out the logistics and simply do the work. Though it's not time to reveal, fully, what these plans are the work related to them will be showing up here and on our various other internet haunts. The Theos material is still moving along with new stuff in the pipeline.
As those following the gallery here know the most recent posting was a combat taedus named Gumbinnen Sems. He's a pretty important character for a number of reasons that will be clear if you explore ALL of what this post offers. While I was working on the update of Gumbinnen into a 5th gen aesthetics driven TKP design and I were also discussing and working on another combat taedus Gedai Ya'eel: fav.me/d4sbywx
When created his most badass "Black Taedus" design fav.me/d2ykj8n I noted it reminded me of a more angular, hard surface Gumbinnen (taedus) and it would be a fantastic fit for the character Gedai, who is Gumbinnen's friend, protege, and another skilled I.P.I.O. taedus use system. Nick and I have discussed Gedai extensively in the last month or so, and while I was working on the update for Gumbinnen Nick has been working on Gedai. Gedai is still a work in progress but, overall, the foundation is sound and what's there is pretty much what he'll be, save tweaking and such.
Also discussed was Gedai's human use partner Treighe Cignie, an enigmatic young blonde I.P.I.O. (Inter-bloc Private Investigations Organization) detective who's also a Genuaä native along with the rest of the Badan Song characters vulnepro.deviantart.com/galler…. Nick will be posting, at some point soon, a really cool piece featuring Treighe (based off the current designs of her I provided him) and Gedai. The WIPs I had seen of the piece really looked fantastic. The work I did on updating Treighe's design will appear here soon as well but Nick's version will likely drop first (it's close enough to my design but his style is there as well). Nick and I are also working on other stuff and, will turn up with some new material as well (his computer has been giving him some problems).
So, though the posts have been somewhat sporadic the work has been trucking along. Expect stuff to drop as we go and I imagine the frequency will continue to increase.
Always my thanks for the support, comments, watches, favs, etc. Don't be afraid to comment, if you wish to, I do try to read them all though it's getting more difficult to keep up with them so any I miss is never intentional. I try to respond to as many as I can.
Keep on drawing and keep on creating!
Cheers!

Happy New Year! 2020, and onward...
As we roll into 2020 and close out 2019 I can say, overall, the year was pretty good. 2019 opened, for me, with a really lucrative and cool concept art gig with Animal Logic Sydney on an animated feature film they have in development, which they have since revealed it's existence and title on their site:
https://www.animallogicentertainment.com/our-films/zero/
The artwork featured is one of the pieces I did for the film, with a few cool edits by them post gig (still most of what's there is what I did for them). I was actually contacted by them (out of nowhere, which was a pleasant surprise), in November of 2018, and invited to contribute to
Vulne Pro Patreon and list of Deviant print files
I did post a status update in July announcing the launch of a Vulne Pro Patreon but I've honestly not had the time to properly promote it in lieu of the circumstances that have led to my return to art full time. A journal post seems a reasonable thing to do to remind and plug the Patreon page again. August was a month of getting things in order and easing back into the groove, September is going to be about increasing the pace and continuing to dig through the piles of older work in order to reject or build on things going forward. In any event, please drop a look, or support if inclined, at the Patreon page. I'm happy to be back but I ultima
Been a long time since I rock n' rolled...
I've been meaning to get around to this post for some time but, as many who may still follow this gallery and studio might have guessed, it's been a long dry spell of posts. It's been a busy and chaotic few years as I continue to take care of my Father who has dementia. Overall it's manageable but, as you would expect, there are days and there are days. He's been continuing to do quite well though so I can't complain. This, of course, is why posting frequency has gone into the negative integers here, not a lamentation but simply the reality of more important priorities.
This isn't going to be a woe is me, life's hard post or anything of that
Summer a blur... Fall of the post-ening-a-ning...
Well, that didn't quite go as planned.
Clearly my intent to return to posting in a reasonable fashion after the last journal entry didn't materialize... it's been quite an exhausting summer. There's no need to go into detail beyond my Father is doing well but otherwise still has memory/dementia issues that can be rather time consuming depending. Unfortunately and most sadly, there was the passing of my Aunt (on my Mom's side) in July as well which really has consumed much of what remained of summer. Since her passing I have been helping my Mom sort out her estate so that has taken quite a lot of time and is still ongoing. As I noted in the
